Adolesent girls write about their problems, various races, religions and backgrounds. The girl's ages range from 11-18 and their voices give a real view on both public and private issue. From body image to boys, politics and parents, school to sex. The authr's reflections on her life comfort the reader.

My favorite character is Lorel. She's 16 and has the eating disorder bulimia. She wrote about what she saw in herself, on the outside and on the inside. This is what I most liked about this book, the contributors gave truthful and believable situations that, in one way or another, related to the reader.

I would recommentd this book for girls ages 11 and on. I recommend this book for girls befause they can relate to the issues more so then guys.
