This book is a real look at real life bullying and the effects it has on the bullied.  Jodee relives her life from childhood through teens, all the way through to the end of her high school years.  In the beginning of the book she is attending a 20th anniversary high school reunion, which brings on memories of what her classmates did to her.  The book retells stories that involve "innocent" childhood bullying and also horrible acts of violence against her that is labeled as innocent bullying.  She does have some saving graces, her poetry, public speaking, certain teachers, her high level of morality and doing what's right, working with special needs kids.  These things seem to make her even more of an outcast.  If there's one thing this book lacked for me, it was that I ached for her, but I never really "felt" what she was feeling.  Also, it's not a book that will probably change the bullies perception or actions.  A person who has been bullied will relate to this book extremely well, but a bully would probably not get anything from it.  There is no classic revenge when Jodee attends the reunion, but there is a bit of release.

Jodee was always a nice girl. She stood up for the bullied and truly had compassion for everyone. However, once she started standing up for the underdogs, she become the mean kids and teens' target. She was bullied growing up, in just about every way possible.

This book is really memorable. In some parts it really is sad, but it's good to read because it's a true account. It had really happened to the author. Through her book she explains her story, and how she was able to put the past behind her, even though terrible things were said and done to her. I think that everyone can learn something from the author. It's a great book, and I would recommend it to anyone.

The book Please Stop Laughing At Me which was written by Jodee Blanco was an autobioghraphy that Jodee wrote about how much she was teased and taunted at the schools she attendned in Chicago and how she was so terrified to let her parnents know about it although they always found about it anyways. I enjoyed this book becuase it showed how cruel peers can sometimes be, and how sometimes the people teasing really have no idea how much they have hurt the other person.
