story about finding yourself and not letting other people's feeling and
thoughts control your own. Unfortunately parts of the book were slow
and boring and did not keep me enthralled.

This book was well written and had a good concept. The way Hayley's
mother bugs her and keeps nagging her to lose weight is very prevalent
in today's society. When Italy was described I wanted to jump on a
plane and fly there and experience it for myself.

This book wasn't as good as I expected. There were a lot of life lessons and good advice in here but, like I said, it wasn't what I had expected. I guess I had expected more especially from the summary but all that really happened was that I got really hungry from reading all the amazing Italian food. ^^ Yumm. I thought Hayley and her mom were pretty shallow especially her mom. All she cared about was losing weight and making sure not to eat anything bad. However, when Hayley goes to Italy, for fun!, she sees herself in a different light and learns that food is not bad, as long as you eat in a healthy way. I thought Hayley was kind of shallow because...I mean *SPOILERS BELOW*
she freaking slept with that guy she met even though the chances of them seeing each other again is extremely slim. And she didn't even do it only once but MANY TIMES. Sighhh. Oh well. Italy makes you do weird things. xD Another thing I realized was that Italians liked to sleep. Who knew that between 1PM-3PM, everyone would be home, shops would be closed, and they would all go to sleep. Strange concept but cool. I would love to do that. Haha.
