This book was not terrible, but it definitely wasn't great either. It dragged on at certain points. Some of the details were really good and others seemed random and lacked in purpose. While I feel that everyone could identify with the nameless main character, she still seemed to be extremely self-destructive and questionable. She is shocking at some points. You want to keep rooting for her for the first part of the book, but after a while you start to wonder what is going on inside that she would like the feeling of being hit. The ending is what put me over the edge. The story line was starting to get interesting again and then it just ended. I felt like she got bored and just stopped writing. It was a disappointment.

This book made my week. It was fantastic! The characters and situations were realistic and the main voice of the story was fun to listen to. Tabitha's voice was one many of us could relate too. This book was a great coming-of-age novel. It really dove into religion, decision, promises and life with all those things. I'd definitely recommend this book to you all. In fact it just was released in paperback. Woo!

This book starts off slow. But once it gets going, it's not so bad.
Tabitha is forced to choose sides when her friend Cara becomes un-pure and her best friend Morgan no longer wants to associate with Cara. And when Jake pops into the picture, Cara and Tabitha are able to find a common ground which brings them closer together.
Tabitha begins to examine what her promise to God really means, her friendships, and what it means to be pure.
