Everyone in or past high school has learned the action- reaction law, you know, you push something, it pushes you. Action, and reaction. The action triggers the reaction. Applies to when youre in a fight, and although you threw the first punch, you say to the principal, but he hit me at the same time! But the action reaction law can also be applied to real-life. Say, when bullying and teasing goes too far. When someone finally cracks. Who knows what the reaction can be&
Quad is a book by C.G. Watson that is a great story about school shootings. It is told by many different kids point of views. Each one telling their story, about how they were either victimized, or doing the bullying. Some of the things the kids go through are absolutely cruel, but also, unfortunately, entirely plausible. Everyone in the book experienced some kind of hazing, or torment, so its impossible to tell who the guilty one, who the shooter is, until the very end. This is a heart- breaking story, and really gives a straightforward look at what goes on behind school doors to some unfortunate people. I really enjoyed this book. Though at some parts, it could be really confusing to keep all the characters and stories straight, because they were all connected to each other. But it did keep you hooked on who the person was, who had been pushed far enough to crack. Just as you were sure who it was, someone else seems to have an even more horrible thing happen to them. And finally, the worst thing of all. I highly recommend this book to people looking for a mystery, and the people who can stomach the whole, harsh truth of bullying, and school shootings.
