I enjoyed reading a paranormal book that wasn't about vampires or faeries which seem to be what's popular nowadays. I'm a Sabrina the Teenage Witch fan, so it was fun reading about witches for once. I also like that the girls already had their powers and it wasn't about a girl suddenly discovering she had powers and how to deal. I like that the action could start right away. The only problem I had was a small contradiction (or rather an exception, perhaps, that wasn't fully explained). Also, one character doesn't really fight for themselves in the end and I wasn't sure why (I have my theories but I'm leaving this spoiler free).
