The text is age-appropriate, with sentence length and vocabulary for preschool to young elementary students. The glossary and index make this an easily searchable book for research purposes. Overall, the photos are engaging, and I’m only a little bit jealous that males are the pregnant ones, living up to the name of world’s best animal dad!
