I liked the book it was interesting and it gave you view of it really exist, as if, it could take place this time and there is no trace of it being fiction.I had like the story line but I think she should have maybe continued with another book..Yet, because she ended it like that made you want to continue reading all her books,or so it made me.

I loved this book. I thought that the way that she stated every thing was brilliant. I also loved that how much I hated "it". I thought that it was unfare that Sarah just couldn't figure that she loved him. I stayed up late thinking about it. I HAD to read this book to my friend because she just didn't understand, finally she agreed too.
Also after reading this book(and owning), evey time I reread it I notice all of the things that I didn't when I first read it. So far I have read her first three books. And what I love about them is that after I have read them I can open it to any page and just start off and love where it is at. I also like the size of a book that way I can put it into my purse and steal away into it no matter where I am.
This book is brillant, I what I think is funny is that her website has a count down to when her new book comes out. Go check it out at

Like many of Ms.Rhodes's other novels Shattered Mirror is the story of vampires, love, self discovery, humanity and of course a kick-butt female heroine. In Shattered mirror readers learn that Sarah the narator is one merciless vampire hunter/witch who is out to destroy the vampire who took the life of her ancestor Elisabeth Vida. While posing as a human in school she meets Christopher and Nissa two mormal school kids, who seem harmless enough ad try to be her friends. Harmless though I think not, for Sarah knows that they are both vampires though not bloodthirsty and cruel like many of their kin. She struggles internally on deciding whether she wants to befriend them and risk being disowned and stripped of her powers or for the first time feel really good about herself which comes with having friends. That, mixed with the action of finding Nikolas and being determined to kill him which she finds out isn't so easy is what makes this novel like Ms.Rhodes's other novels priceless. The real question readers dare to ask themselves is... is everything black or white?

As addicted to vampire stories as I am, I just want to praise how good this book is.
Sarah Vida, a witch who's a vampire hunter, is on the hunt for Nikolas, the most sought after vampire in history. At her new highschool, she is finding that she is falling in love with a vampire named Christopher, despite how weak he is, she can't see him anymore because of her heritage. She soon finds out that Christopher is actually Kristopher, Nikolas' twin brother who used to be as infamous. What will Sarah do now?
Sarah, who is one of the most complex characters really makes you imagine what it would be like to be in her situation. As a witch, and not just any witch, but a Vida witch and daughter to the great Dominique Vida, she is supposed to be composed, powerful, emotionless, smart, and well trained in anything, yet Sarah seems to keep failing at all these things when event after event keeps happening. After having her powers sealed for a while and about to go on trial for all of her wrong doings and facing dis-owning from her family, she risks it all by running away, with the advise of her more powerful sister Adianna, and taking down Nikolas once and for all, even if she has to kill Christopher later.
This never-ending emotional and actionpacked book is a definite must read.

First of all this is a really great book about vampires. This is my favorite book out of the four that I have read. The way that the authr connects Christofor and Sarah is amazing. This book really is great and I was actually sad when I finished it. She had much room to make another book about them as she could about any of the books. If she makes more books I will read them and I hope you will too.

Great book by a fabulous young writer. Really inspiring to others. Great the way the author makes the reader relate to the concept of impossible love. This book makes Buffy look like child's play. Awesome job!

Great book by a fabulous young writer. Inspiring to all other young writers that they do have a chance. Love the way the villain is also kind of endearing in his family loyalty. You can really see him as a person. You notice that no one is really completely good or completely evil. The concept of forbidden love is really strong. Don't even speak of Buffy in the same sentence as this book. This one is soooo much better.

This book is absolutely wonderful. This was the first one of Amelia Atwater-Rhodes' books that I read, because I was at a friend's party and couldn't fall asleep. So I see this book sitting on a table and figured I would read it until I felt tired. I got completely hooked!
The whole storyline is so interesting. First off, it was a unique perspective, as normally when you read a vampire book it focuses more on the vampire than the vampire hunter. (except Dracula, but that doesn't have just one focus...) Sarah Vida is such an interesting character, and one that most teenagers (and even adults) can relate to on at least one level. Then you have Christopher and Nissa, both well-written vampires with a sort of wistful innocence, Nikolas who isn't as evil as he seems, and a bunch of truly evil characters as well. The storyline is very good, and there is some great poetry hidden in there. A fantastic read!!
