Well, apparently, this book ended up surprising me.
Miranda leaves her boyfriend's, Denny, marriage proposal in search of a college education in Austin. Rooming off campus, she soon takes up drumming lessons with Paul. However, whereas Paul is cute, Adam, the bassist of band she's currently drumming for (as a fill in) offers alot more. With the return of the previous drummer and her boyfriend, trouble follows her every step. In the end, she learns that there is nothing more passionate that rocking to the beat of your heart.
I loved this book solely because of the characters. They were real, and they were raw, and amazing as well.
