Cinnamon loves the shadows, because that's where no one can find her... For Cinnamon, dreaming of imaginary worlds and characters is her only escape from her mother's breakdowns. Her grandmother's overbearing control. Her family's turmoil. But Cinnamon is discovering something special about herself, a gift from deep within that sets her apart: a talent for the theater that would finally give her a chance...to truly "escape."

Cinnamon Carlson was an actress.  She loved to act.  So did her mom.  Her mom and dad found a manor that her mom said was possessed by the spirits of its original owners.   She meets a boy who came to her house while her mother was in a care unit at the hospital for short term memory loss.  Her grandma was living with her and she started following her father because she thought he was cheating on her mom.  She made love to the boy she met, freaking out her grandmother.  He was sent to boarding school.  During this time, she auditioned for Madame Senetsky's school for performing arts and was accepted.
