The book Slam by Nick Hornby takes us into the journey of teen pregnancy. It takes us through the life of a boy who finds out he has gotten his ex-girlfriend pregnant. He is now faced with the burden of having to be responsible for a child at the age of 16. All of a sudden life is spinning out of control for Sam and Alicia. At least Sam has his mom, who has been through what he is now going through. She was also a teen parent. And like any other 16 year old kid expecting a child would do... his instincts tells him to run away. But one person convinces him to live it through. His poster of Tony Hawk. This book really reveles the truth about teen pregnancy.
