Obie is a Renegade--an escape from the evil realms of Nefandus. After escaping from the land where he was made a slave, Obie's gotten stuck in Los Angeles rahter than returning back to his own time (medievel times). Now he's living on his own with two other Renegades named Berto and Nick. But when his old love finds him and begs for his help, Obie is perplexed. Could there really be a way for him to get home?

This was a really good book. My sister loves the Daughters of the Moon series, but I thought this was a good alternative for boys. People who've read both series will recognize some of same places and characters, but you can read this one on it's own too. A great fantasy book for boys.
