I like this novel, but it tends to overuse a teenager's point of view. also, it seems that instead of talking more naturally, she uses long sentences all the time and drops in teenage slang like rocks. in addition, one of the friends tends to diminish the reader's sympathy for her when she ENDLESSLY talks about how stupid the ex-boyfriend was for leaving her friend. the same thing for the grandmother.
