This is a much better book than the previous few CLique title (not including the debut novel). In this one, Massie, Alicia, and Claire go to Hollywood to audition as a "loser" in a new movie. The back of the book reveals that Claire begins living a Hollywood lifestyle, so it's not revealing too much to say she gets the part. The funniest thing is Massie is happy when the director tells her she was too confident in her audition not realizing that he was trying to say she blew her audition. Alicia does better, but is too pretty to be taken seriously as a loser.

The best part of the book is Calire finally stepping out of Massie's shadow & finding out Cam took her brother to a dance rather than take another girl. Also, reading aobut Massie and Alicia freezing on camera when they are supposed to cover the movie filming live for Dylan's mother's talk show. The worst? Connor is very creepy acting and Massie is unusually hurtful to Claire.

Other than the 1st book, this is the best book in the series. The girls are breaking out of their molds a bit and having them kicked out of school gives them more to do.
