I have followed the 'Clique' books very faithfully since they came out and I have to say, this one is my favorite out of all of them. So why just a 3? Because the characters are shallow.

Shallow, no depth at all. There are some instances where they reveal human feelings, but the majority of the time they are completely self-absorbed. So maybe that's the intention of the author, to make them that way, but then they could still be more three-dementional.

But the plot was good, comparitively better than the other books. The plot itself wasn't shallow, and that's what made it the best.

Why can't I put these books down then, if there are so many unsatisfactory elements to it? It is because that is how human girls are these days? They are exactly that shallow and self-absosrbed. And it is always interesting to read about yourself.

This ending was also the most satisfying and does reveal to you the human parts of these characters. And that's what made it the best one out of all the 'Clique' books.

I really liked this book but at the same time it didn't make any sense. What I mean is that it was completely fake. I'm 13 and will admit that some girls are pretty mean with obscene language and such but we don't physically attack each other like the girls do in the end of the book.
Maybe it's because I don't live in New York that I don't really think this is reality because where I live, all the guys arn't hot and all the girls arn't rich.
And what kind of girls are asked to model when they were simply going for an interview. Any GOOD clique books would show how girls act around boys and girls and how the clique works. This mainly showed how they don't act because look at this. They are 16 year olds in a 12 year olds body.
However I did like the entertainment of how Lisi Harrison thinks girls act. Maybe she should come to Louisiana and study a real school.

I've read all the books in the series (including the 4th book) and I'm starting to wonder if this is a series that has been spread too thin. The 1st 2 books had enough in them to accomendate a series, but the next two seem to be about the same things. Nothing new happens-it's the same 'ol thing.

The main character, Massie, seems to be a little 2-dimentional and doesn't feel like a real person. Claire, on the other hand, doesn't seem quite sympathetic enough. I liked the original idea, but the rest of the books in the series are falling flat for me.

I found this book was a lot more heartening than the others, at times you can't believe what these girls will do to each other. Like when Massie paints a hate mural of Alicia to show her that she's really out of the popular group, or how Alicia tries to exactly replicate the popular group. All of the girls in this book are cunning and manipulative, such as when Alicia blackmails people to be in her group. Overall, I really liked how the plot worked itself out in the end.

Alicia has finally broken away from Massies leash. She is the queen bee with her own new clique. She has a contact with Teen People to model for the upcoming magazine. And she has the attention and support of the male population. But all these things dont help because Massie has one thing on her mind revenge.

Massie tries to sabotage Alicias model shoot. Along with trying to bring Alicia down, she has to deal with allowing Claire to join the club. Unfortunately, they both like the same boy. And her other friends, Kristen and Dylan, their priorities seem to lay with the enemy. It takes a big event to make the girls realize whats really important in their lives.

I thought that this was a great addition to the Clique series. The story still kept me interested in the lives of these 5 girls. I could see bits of myself in them. The ending left me hanging, and I cant wait to see where the story will go next. If you havent read the Clique books yet, I recommend that you check them out.
