Ehmagawd.! This book is pretty amazing. I dont usually read books with characters younger than my current age. But this book is cute. Middle schoo girls already know how to rock their socks! Their alpha-ness amazes me. AND, the movie made it better than ever. I wish they make the other sequels into movies too. The book is hilarious and sad at the same time. And I love how Massie can be soooo mean and nice at the same time. My fave character would be Massie. I also love how they can like theyre in highschool but in fact theyre just middle schoolers. Its like the mini version of gossip girl. Loved it!

Massie is a popular girl in school, with four best friends. Then her dad's best friend from high school moves into there guesthouse. Mrs. Lyon's has a daughter Massie's age and a son named Todd. Todd like Massie and Massie hates Claire. Claire tries to be Massie's best friend. When she finds its not working out she tries to steal Massie's best friends.
I love this story. It has alot of drama and people talking behind each others backs. If you like novels with suprising twists, you would love Clique. Girls fight over friends and crushes. This dramatic story has secrets they want no one else to know.

The clique is about the pretty Comitee. The Pretty Comittee rules the school. There are only 5 people in the group. They rule the school. Everyone wants to be like them. They are all very rich. You don't want to be an LBR. That means you are a loser beyond repair. This book tells about 5 girls life.
I LOVED this book. I think that this book would be good for teenage girls. It will relate to your life. Or someone you know at least. This book isn't like any book i've ever read. It's very original and unique. I'm look forward to anything Lisi Harrison writes. Everyone and anyone should read this book!

The book the Clique is a very good book. Usually this is not the kind of book I would usually read. It is about a spoiled rich little 7th grade brat named Massie. She is pretty much Queen Bee of the 7th grade. One of her dad's old friends is having trouble finding a new house so Massie's dad decides to let them live there, until they get settled into a new house. Massie being the drama queen she is immediately hates her (since she is of the lower class to her). So Massie makes it her duty to make Claires life at school and her new home a living hell. While Claire secretely plots to get into Massie's exclusive Clique. This is a good read for anybody into teen girl drama.

Rich girl Massie is ticked off. She's missing out on her friends' Labor Day shopping spree and spa visit, because her father's friend is moving into their guest house with his family. Just because their daughter, Claire, is starting seventh grade at Massie's school, Massie is expected to pal around with her. Never mind that the new girl is a loser in old Keds and overalls who will never fit into Massie's tight circle. So that friend thing? It's never going to happen.
Meanwhile, Claire is nervous. Westchester, New York seems like a new planet compared to Orlando, Florida. And Massie and her friends are the opposite of welcoming. At school, Claire finds all the students dressed identically, and expensively. Massie's group is all about designer wear --- a whole new concept for Claire.
Massie's friends do a number on Claire, including viciously sneaking dabs of red paint onto the back of Claire's white jeans. When Claire's embarrassed male teacher sends her directly to the nurse's office, Massie's friends give her the wrong directions, sending her bumbling into the photography class darkroom.
The clique continues in its unrelentingly cruel tricks on Claire. Claire, however, earns a certain secret grudging respect by handling the harassment with graceful pride. Massie would never admit it to anyone, but she starts to feel a tiny magnetic pull to the new girl, and even feels the slightest twinge of remorse at the way she and her friends treat her. That doesn't change their behavior, though.
In the meantime, Claire wishes deep down that Massie and her pals could be her friends. Instead, she buddies up with fun and funny Layne, who is also not A-list. That friendship ends, though, when Massie steals Claire's new (and only) friend.
Claire enjoys the rare occasions when she is accepted into Massie's group, but she inevitably pays for the pleasure by being targeted with mean pranks by them afterward. Claire's grace under pressure finally cracks, and she deals Massie some payback, sinking low for revenge.
THE CLIQUE is a fun, fast read. The girls slowly reveal that they are more than the cardboard characters they appear to be. Claire is classy and intelligent, but occasionally shows some lapses in judgment. Massie and her friends gradually let slip intriguing hints that they are not quite the shallow monsters they seem.

The first time I read "The Clique" I was hooked. It was the best book I'd read in a long time.
The book is about a group of rich, pretty girls who are the most popular clique in their school. And even though these girls are very mean to everyone else, underneath the book, there is truth.
They treat others like many other seventh grade girls treat each other. It raises important issues like friendship, self-esteem, etc.

I think these books are okay. Poor Claire comes to a new town and doesn't know anyone. Massie is mean to her....but do they get over their differences? I think these are a Gossip Girl for younger people like 12. I think they are still okay, but I would rather be reading The IT Girl or Gossip Girl. I think that people who have read any of the mentioned books will like these. I reccommend them to girls beginning middle school or who are in middle school. These were good but they keep getting better. Read them

The Clique is a great series of betrayal, cliques, adn boys. When a poor new-comer named Claire, moves into Massie's guest house she fears she won't have anytime for her friends unless she drags this LBR(loser beyond repair) along. And that is NOT an option. When her social status drops she will do any thing to regain it, and I mean anything. And after all, she is Massie Block. And Massie Block always got what she wanted... Right?
