Wow, they are so frickin spunky. those clique girls realy treat their enemies right. Especially the Clique leader, Massie Block. A new, middle class girl is moving into her high class rich home and she hates her just because of her status. other books just like this are the gossip girl series and the a-list series

Claire a poor girl moves into her parent's friend's house. The family they move in with is rich and she gets told to hang out with their daughter who is the popular, mean girl. She goes through a lot of stuff, trying to fit in and last in a clique of rich girls.

The perfect novels for middle-graders, these books are full of brand names and pop culture refrences. It even has an occasional positive message about friendship. The girls fight alot, but are able to solve problems well (most of the time) on their own

I personnaly love these books. They don't have big words or difficult plots, making them perfect for reluctent readers (not me, but I still love them).

Massie Block has everything; popularity, a clique, good looks, the boys and unfortunately, Claire Lyons.
Massie's dad's friend's family is moving into their guest house. That means that Massie is forced to hang out with their daughter, Claire. Claire is a real dork; she wears Keds and 2 year old Gap Overalls.
Massie rounds up the Clique, and they start getting ugly. Massie and her Clique do the nastiest and worst things to innocent Claire.
Can Claire get revenge on them, and possibly get into the coolest Clique of all times? Read this book to find out!
I loved this book! Once I picked it up, I couldn't stop reading it! I would recomment this book to girls ages 11-14.

The Clque book is about Massie Block and her clique which are known as the Pretty Committee. They are well known in their school and are totally popular. You could understand them as the most popular people in your school, but in the clique they are the most popular people in OCD. But when Claire Lyons steps foots into the Blocks guesthouse Massie's reputation is at stake. She immediatly understands that this ked shoe and gap jean wearing girl will only disgrace her Clique. Claire either way thought that she could never be part of this Clique since she couldn't even afford the types of clothes they wore. Claire was even unsure if she would be able to hold up the weight of their prada bags!! The first day of school was disaster for Claire. The drive to school was pleasant and met up with all of Massies friends. Through scandals Massie explained to her friends that they were not suppose to like Claire Lyons. That was when the "mean" fun and games started. When Claire gets a taste of Massies medicene she starts giving Massie a taste of her own medicene. Claire tricks Massie's friends to befriend her and leaves Massie looking like a mean old stuck of friend. Will Massie stand up for this? Is her clique going to be taken over by.....by...by....CLAIRE LYONS??

The only thing harder than getting in is staying in. That's the Clique for you! The ruler of the clique... and the rest of the school is Massie Block: the godess of all of the social and fashion scene at Octavian Country Day School. The other 3 Clique members are Dylan Marvil, Kristen Gregory, Alicia Rivera. Maybe they're not as popular, but they can all be just as mean.

In the book, Claire Lyons is the new girl in town, staying in Massie's guest house, from Florida. The first thing Massie has to despise about Claire are her Keds, and whole Gap attire. Claire makes friends with an oatmeal-obsesser, Layne Abeley, who just happens to be the dorky sister of Massie's crush.

Hey! Why is everyone suddenly turning their backs on MASSIE? How did Claire become so popular? Will Claire and Massie ever become friends? Will Layne and her oatmeal save the day?

Hey, if you think that the Clique Series is all about spoiled girls getting eveything they want and whinning about everything, then you're wrong! The first Clique book might start out that way, but it is totally more than that. Once you meet Claire, then the fun really starts. This Series is the best that I have ever read and you don't hear that from me ever because I hate to read! My friend has the whole series and she let me borrow them and once I finished the first book, I was totally hooked!! These books are really good and they keep getting better and better as you keep moving on to the next books. My favorite was the fith one because it was so sweet. Well, I just wanted to say that these books are the best and I can't wait until the seventh or the eighth or even the ninth if there is going to be a ninth. I HOPE!!! Love ya, heart ya, hope you read these books!!!!!!!!!!!

This was one of the best books of the whole series.Maybe it was because it was the original but it was a really good book. I would definatly read the rest of the books in the series. My favorite part was when Massie decided to befriend Clarie after Clarie helped her.


I have actually read this book over 3 times.This was just such a wonderful book i just can't say enough to praise this book. it is just so wonderful. I would recommend this book to all of my friends and to everyone else in the world.

I read The Clique last year and it was horrible! It was sooooooo unrealistic and as shallow as a rain puddle. The book was about four prissy,rich girls being mean to people who they thought were uncool and unfashionable. Do not read this book,unless you actually like books about snobs who are popular for the wrong reasons. The whole time I was reading it,I wanted to throw up. Okay people,I warned you!

omg this book was the best one yet. i loved it, i couldnt put it down. i finnished it in like 2 days. im 15 and i always thout that this book was 4 younger girls bc there in 7th grade. but as each book goes on they get more and more mature. they are way more mature then i ever was in 7th grade. but i didnt like how massie was SOOOOOOO MEAN to claire in this one. i was like screaming at her throught the book haha. i think some of the things that massie and alicia did to clair, out of jelousy was a little 2 much. i think they went to far. but i guess thats wat made me like it this much bc most of the time iwas like shouting "OMG! how can she do that haha.
