Imagine being in his shoes: you see two men, one with a briefcase and one with a rifle. They barge into your small apartment, the shooter aims for your dad, and then fires. But instead of killing you too, they offer you a deal: you wont tell anyone what you saw in exchange for your life.

After being a witness to his fathers death, Jude ends up living with his mother who he thought abandoned him. Living in a new house, going to a new school, and surrounded by a different crowd of people, youd think his luck would change. However, due to a misfortunate set of events, his mothers political future is threatened and Jude agrees to a crazy scheme suggested by his moms close friend. After all that hes worked hard for, the law comes down on him sentencing him behind bars.

I picked up Jude entirely on a whim, since I didnt really think Id like it that much. I was wrong. When I started to read the first chapter, I knew right away that it was going to be a good book. This book doesnt have your typical love story, your role model parents, or the typical teenage drama&This book is about a teenaged boy youll sympathize for when everything in his world goes wrong for him. The action and mystery only stops at the end of the book and Ill definitely read this book again.

Life as a Jew was never easy before and during the Holocaust. When he was a kid, Moshe was often bullied by the Polish so he decided he had to defend himself. After his family moved to France and had a better life, he took up boxing. He had a wife and kids but suddenly, the war arrived and he ended up in the concentration camps.

This book was a very shocking discovery to what life in concentration camps were like. This book taught me a lot about the Holocaust, the "Muselmans", and introduced me to the many cruelties Jews suffered. This book is based on a true account of someone that went through the concentration camps, and I really recommend it.
