How would you like it if you went off to war alone? Well Johnathan wanted to. Would you? After they began to fight he really wanted to go home. When they were 5 min. into it he was the last one alive so he ran than his worst night mare happened. He was captured by Hessians. Well I am not going to tell you any more you will just have to read it. By the way it does speak in German so it is a little hard to under stand what the Hessians are saying. The Fighting Ground is 152 pages long so it is very small. I hope you really like it!!!!!!!!

The title of this book The Fighting Ground didn't catch my attention, but after about 20 pages it started to get good. This book is about a 13 year old boy who goes to war when his parents tell him to not go. Once the fight began everyone ran and Jonathan was left alone. Three Hessian soilders capture him and take him to a house. At the house Jonathan found a boy. When the Hessians fell asleep Jonathan took the boy and escaped from the Hessians. He went home and his dad was glad to see him home and alive.

Jonathan is the main character in the book Fighting Ground. At first he wanted to go to war but he changed at the end. He disobayed his parents and went to war. He got caught by Hessians but that is only the begining.

I thought the fighting ground was a very interested book. I liked the part when Jonathan went to war. Jonathan ran away and was captured by the Hessians.I thought the end of the book was a happy ending because he returned home safely and not wounded. It was a very good book about the revolution war.

This book was about a kid named Jonathan who always dreamed about going to war. But when he did he regreted his deccision. Let me tell you more. whell Joathan a thirteen year old boy
decided to go to war. He had no permissan and his parents told him only to get the newsbut instead he went to war. He got caught by hessians, saw lots of blood and was terrifed to death. He was misserable , and I bet he has changed his mind on what he thought about war.I would never want to go to war.

The book, The Fighting Ground, is about a young boy, named Jonathon. He wanted so badly togo to war.He had an older brother at war, a father that has gone to war, and has heard many war stories from his father. Each time he hears one of his fathers stories, the more he wants to go to war.

One morning,Janathon heard the bell(that signaled to gather men for the war). His mother and father told him not to go, but he went. When he got to the tavern, hewas asked to take part in a battle. He excepted and was off to war.

When they got to the fighting ground, they saw that the enemies, the Hessians, had uniforms and drums ,and all that stuff.Jonathon tried to load the gun ,but it was to hbig.fFinnaly he got it to work. After a few shots, thefighting was over ,and every one ran. Jonathon was cought by the Hessians ,and they took him to a house. There Jonathon found a boy , sitting by his dead parents .

Later that night, he escaped with the boy an d found his group. They went back to the house together and killed the Hessians. When they got home he found that his fathers fear was for Jonathon, not for himself.
