It's usually hard to relate to an old man when I'm a young woman! But Mitch Albom's book held me with every word. It captures the imagination in what happens after death, and who the main character meets as he travels onto Heaven. Some people are funny, some wise, some seemingly unimportant to his life on earth, and one will make you cry.

The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom.
Review by Rene MacKinnon

Relaxing, tranquil, peaceful, yet tense and edgy throughout the ride! This is such a comforting Book, as well as remarkable and outstanding! Albom uses such a unique way to create a feeling of life after death. This book is great to read if youre recovering from a death because it makes you feel like every person was made in this world for a reason, and a unique purpose. As you read, your opinions may change on life and death as well. The book starts out on an ordinary day for the main character, Eddie, and it is counting down to his unfortunate death while working at an amusement park on Ferris wheel. When he dies, he goes to heaven and he meets 5 people who were significant in his life one way or another. Some of these people he meets, he never even met during his days of breathing, but they changed the way Eddie saw himself after he died. Mitch Albom makes Eddie change his opinions on life and death after meeting these 5 important people and as youre reading this book you wont even be able to put it down. The events occurring in The Five People You Meet in Heaven keep you interested throughout the whole roller coaster, or should I say Ferris wheel. This is a must read because of its comforting style and unique views on the importance of every human being in the world. So, read this quick masterpiece and youll see how youre opinions change just like Eddies do.

The Five People You Meet in Heaven tells the tale of an 83 year old man named Eddie who is in heaven after dying in a tragic amusement park accident and believes he was a failure and affected no one in his life. Then, Eddie meets five people who by sharing their life stories show him just a fraction of the people he has affected. These people change Eddie's opinion of himself and show him his life was significant.

This book will touch anyone's heart in a special way after reading this excellent story. It gives an interesting possibility of life after death that I have never read in any other book and tells of the journey of self-actualization that Eddie must go through in heaven.
