The Five People You Meet in Heaven
User reviews
This author writes this book very nicely with good details and give his readers a visual that they would not be able to see in other books. This is sort of like a biography because the author writes this of his uncle. He uses his imagination wisely and creatively; let's it run wild, and most importantly, HE SHARES IT WITH HIS READERS.
The Five People You Meet in Heave by Mitch Albom is a sad, happy and moving story about a guess of what heaven is like. Read Eddies story which is all about his life, thoughts, and feelings explained in the last hours of his life and while he enters heaven. There will be so many sentences that will make you think about your life now, your past, and future. This is a truly well done and unforgettable story that may make your eyes open sooner or later and youll be thankful for it just like I am.
It's usually hard to relate to an old man when I'm a young woman! But Mitch Albom's book held me with every word. It captures the imagination in what happens after death, and who the main character meets as he travels onto Heaven. Some people are funny, some wise, some seemingly unimportant to his life on earth, and one will make you cry.
Beautifully written. Original. Entertaining, a page turner and one to be read and re-read for centuries to come. The Five People You Meet In Heaven is a captivating book about a man's experience in death. I highly recommend it to anyone, and to everyone. Do not miss out on this great book.
The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom.
Review by Rene MacKinnon
Relaxing, tranquil, peaceful, yet tense and edgy throughout the ride! This is such a comforting Book, as well as remarkable and outstanding! Albom uses such a unique way to create a feeling of life after death. This book is great to read if youre recovering from a death because it makes you feel like every person was made in this world for a reason, and a unique purpose. As you read, your opinions may change on life and death as well. The book starts out on an ordinary day for the main character, Eddie, and it is counting down to his unfortunate death while working at an amusement park on Ferris wheel. When he dies, he goes to heaven and he meets 5 people who were significant in his life one way or another. Some of these people he meets, he never even met during his days of breathing, but they changed the way Eddie saw himself after he died. Mitch Albom makes Eddie change his opinions on life and death after meeting these 5 important people and as youre reading this book you wont even be able to put it down. The events occurring in The Five People You Meet in Heaven keep you interested throughout the whole roller coaster, or should I say Ferris wheel. This is a must read because of its comforting style and unique views on the importance of every human being in the world. So, read this quick masterpiece and youll see how youre opinions change just like Eddies do.
This is a new, interesting, and lovley take on a question as old as time; What will happen when I die? "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" explores the emotional past of an elderly man who has passed away. Short and sweet, this is a great book for any type of reader at any time. I absolutly loved this book. It's unique and elegant story started with questions and ended in tears (or sorrow or joy I'm stil unsure).
The Five People You Meet in Heaven tells the tale of an 83 year old man named Eddie who is in heaven after dying in a tragic amusement park accident and believes he was a failure and affected no one in his life. Then, Eddie meets five people who by sharing their life stories show him just a fraction of the people he has affected. These people change Eddie's opinion of himself and show him his life was significant.
This book will touch anyone's heart in a special way after reading this excellent story. It gives an interesting possibility of life after death that I have never read in any other book and tells of the journey of self-actualization that Eddie must go through in heaven.
This book is amazing. It is so detailed and contradicts real life in a way that makes one think about what is in the world beyond. By reading this book, I considered what I have done in the past, and what I will do in the future. Everyone should read this book if they have not done so already.
In this powerful story, an old veteran named Eddie gives his life to save a little girl. He wakes up in heaven but it's not what he expects. He is told by his first person that he will meet four others that will explain his life as they "relive" each section of his life.
This is a moving story great for everybody, no matter how old or young you may be.
The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom is the most emotional story I've ever read. A man named Eddie has a chance to learn about himself after he dies... This story will rip the coldest of hearts and leave the most unemotional person in tears. This book lets readers take a look into what heaven really is...
