This was an enjoyable read and would work for younger readers, as young as 8 if they are into the elf and goblin themed world. It was very explanatory and the diction was easy enough for all to understand. A great read all the way around!
Good Points
This book gives the back story to the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Which makes sense. Since it's the prequel. There were plenty of action scenes as well as a sufficient amount of character development. All the while, it was a simple enough read. It would work for readers of a wide variety of ages.
