From New York Times bestselling and award-winning author Claribel A. Ortega: The third bookin the spellbinding Witchlings series!
The Spares of Ravenskill have less magic and less power than the other covens. That's just the way it is -- the way it's always been. But now Spares are starting to disappear. And no one seems to care.

Nothing is more important to Seven Salazar and Thorn Laroux than finding a way to cure their best friend, Valley Pepperhorn, from the hex that is slowly making its way closer and closer to her heart. Still, they have to figure out what's happening to the Spares. What if whoever is responsible for the disappearances is the same person who was behind the hex?

The problem is that with so many people scared and angry about the chaos in their town -- and blaming the Spares, especially the Witchlings -- it feels like it could be almost anyone.

As Seven and Thorn dig deeper into the mysteries of Ravenskill, they start to uncover secrets that have long been buried and forgotten. What they find will change everything -- if only they can get anyone to believe them.

In this third installment of the Witchlings, Seven and Thorn desperately search for a way to save their friend Valley, who had been turned to stone. To make things even worse, something is going wrong with magic, first creating a record number of Spares, and then making them disappear. The friends will have to rely on each other, when everything else seems to be turned upside down, to solve the mystery and return things to how they should be.

While the stakes couldn't be higher, I first fell in love with Seven and Thorn and the world of the Witchlings for the vibrant magics and their positive energy. Little details like watchful raccoons sitting solemnly all in a row, or old scholars with ridiculously fancy names, remind us that there is fun to be had in the little moments, particularly during an epic adventure. There's rituals and monster fights, angry mobs and tender nights full of tears, and the heartwarming moments of a found family truly finding a home. And who doesn't love a rhyming prophecy?

Witchlings continues to be a story that feels big and touches the heart.

I absolutely love this series! The characters are adorable, it's full of magic and many great lessons! House of Elephants gives us more history of the Twelve Towns and gives more depth to the characters and after the last book's cliffhanger I couldn't wait to read this one and it sure didn't disappoint! I hope there will be many more books to come!
