Nicholas Sparks does it again with another outstanding book, The Last Song. This tear-jerker had me hooked on it from beginning to end. Its a great book and has a meaningful lesson that ties in throughout the whole story.

The book is about Ronnie, a rebellious eighteen-year-old from New York City who lives by her own rules. Forced by her divorced mom, Ronnie must spend her whole summer in North Carolina with her dad that she had barely spoken to for three years.  As summer progresses, Ronnie adjusts to her new temporary home and learns that her rebellious character is covering up a softer side of herself. As she starts to let her guard down, Ronnie finds things that she wouldve never expected to come across. She finds love, tragedy, and most importantly a loving and caring father that would do anything for her.

The thing I like about the book is it is in 3rd person omniscient view.  Each chapter changes the focus to another character in the book. I definitely recommend this book to girls, since it is more of a romance. Though it is a simple book to read, it has a great story within it about the importance of family. This book is very sad, but definitely worth reading. If you have read any of Nicolas Sparks books and enjoyed them, this book is for you.
