The Night I Disappeared is not a great book but it's not horrible either. I enjoyed the twists and turns throughout and the dramatic ending. It was a bit of a mystery to solve. However, the book was almost a little too easy to read. The speaker's voice was relatable and emotional, but left no interpretation or much thought for the reader to consider. In some places the book was slow moving and almost felt repetitive. Overall, i did somewhat enjoy reading it even though i believe there are much better books out there that i would have chosen to read instead.

The Night I disappeared is about this girl named Jamie. Jamie's mom is a lawyer, who is very popular and well known. Because of Jamie's mom's job, her and her mother have to move to Chicago for a short time. Just like other other girl, Jamie was upset to leave her home in California, especially because she would be leaving her boyfriend. Once they arrive in Chicago Jamie is in a bike accident and is sent to the E.R. She's okay though, and is able to be sent home with no major injuries. However, Jamie starts having some mental and emotional issues, such as concerning dreams that have an affect on her life. In response, Jamie's mom sends Jamie to get some psychiatric help and from there Jamie learns something big...
I loved it. It's one of my favorite books. It's kind of obvious, but it doesn't take away anything. I love how it's a good psychological novel. It's easy to follow and really interesting. Three of my friends have read this book too, and they liked it as well. The only thing that I do not like is how it starts off kind of boring and slow, but it's not long before it gets really good. I would recommend this book to anyone, really.

A young lady has a very disturbing secret that she is keeping hidden in the back of her mind by creating a friend in her head. When left at a park after her ball game waiting on her babysitter, a young girl makes up a friend to keep her safe. Her babysitter actually dropped her off at the park because she was kidnapped by her babysitter's boyfriend. The young lady had shot her the woman's boyfriend to keep him from hurting either of them but she never tells until she starts talking to her friend's aunt who is a phyciatrist.
This book is very interesting yet confusing at the same time.If you do not pay attention to the text features then you can become very much lost because of how she is in the real world one moment and a daydream the next.

This book has an interesting and odd twist in it. When you read it you watch a little movie in your head because of all the details the author gives. You won't be able to put the book down till the end and when your there you are hoping Deaver is preparing a sequel
