Imagine three young kids abandoned from a wagon train in the desert. One reason they were abandoned was that their parents died of very horrible diseases and they thought the kids would get sick and die. If I were you I would jump in and read this book to see what happens to the three kids. I encourage you to read Gary Paulsens book Tuckets Home.
