WE DRIVE DUMP TRUCKS is a fun look into the world of dump trucks, great for young vehicle lovers! This book covers topics around dump trucks, including their uses, giant dump trucks, and the jobs they do.

What I loved: This book is a fantastic blend of photographs of real dump trucks and drivers as well as illustrations and bright background colors. For instance, seeing a photo of the largest dump truck in the world was very cool, as well as learning about how enormous it really is - a tire on it is the size of 2 people stacked! The book uses simple sentences and approachable language to teach about these trucks.

The font size is generally large with good variety of location across pages that connects it with the images. Simple sentences are great both for toddlers and little listeners as well as early independent readers who may be able to read this on their own. With lots of cool facts and information about dump trucks, this is sure to delight truck lovers!

Final verdict: Educational and entertaining, WE DRIVE DUMP TRUCKS is a great picture book that combines cool facts and photographs. Highly recommend for toddlers through early independent readers.

The blend of colorful diagrams and real life photos clearly breaks down the different types of trucks and different activities one would see for construction, mining, or other hauling. The text itself is pretty clear and simple, employing bold key words and labels to give additional context to pictures in a way that's accessible for younger readers.

Dump trucks are front and center on most every page. Readers are treated to pictures of trucks from all angles, from the more common dump trucks to massive mining vehicles. Diverse truck operators are also represented, encouraging any young reader that they too could one day be operators of cool machinery.
