We Remember the Holocaust chronicles the Holocaust in the voices of those who survived it. They tell us about Jewish life in Europe before the 1930s and about the violence of Hitler's rise to power. They describe the humiliations of Nazi rule, the struggle to keep families together, the fight for survival in the ghettos, the ultimate horror of the concentration camps.

With its moving first-person voices and original photographs from private collections, We Remember the Holocaust is an intensely personal contribution to the history of a period that must never be forgotten.

We Remember the Holocaust by David A. Adler is a touching and sorrowful book about the experiences of Holocaust victims. Through many sources, you’ll learn a lot and enjoy it too.

With the stories of Ernest Honig and Esther Klein to Judy Schonfield and Schabes and Ivan Gluck, you’ll learn about the many aspects of the Holocaust. First, the Jews were hated by the Germans. They were killed purposely to complete genocide. Read about German financial difficulties. Also, after much hatred, the trapped Jews in camps were killed. The survivors were liberated by the Allies.

We Remember the Holocaust will give you the true story of the Holocaust by its survivors. I enjoyed reading the true confessions and quotes. I recommend this book for kids 12 and up for some gruesome content. I give it 5 stars for wisdom and intelligence.
