What To Do If You Meet a Bear? : A Nature Survival Guide is an informative picture book that educates readers on how to handle encounters with various animals, such as bears and deer.
What I Liked: The illustrations, which accompany the informative text, make it easy for readers to understand the appropriate actions in different scenarios. The author successfully balances important information and humor making it an engaging read.
What Left Me Wanting More: The layout of some pages are confusing. Several informational boxes seemed out of order, disrupting the reading flow. This could be challenging for young readers. While the book provides a great introduction to survival skills I would like to see more detail.
