Mole and Shrew Find a Clue is a delightful little book by Jackie French Koller. Targeted towards kids in grades 1 - 3, this is the fourth book in the Mole and Shrew series.

Mole overhears Buzzard talking about having Rabbit and his family over for dinner and immediately misunderstands. He thinks Buzzard is going to have Rabbit for dinner.

Shrew is horrified. Could it be true? The two friends decide they must save Rabbit from Buzzard's stew pot. They head out into a dark and stormy night to find clues.

Mysterious goings-on and madcap characters make this a fun read for younger readers. It is also a Stepping Stone book and will encourage even reluctant readers to give reading a shot.
