From Sabrina and Eunice Moyle—also known as Hello!Lucky—the superstar creators of My Mom Is Magical! and My Dad Is Amazing! comes My Box of Feelings, a collection of six original mini board books all about feelings.

How do you react when you feel angry? Or when you feel love? Or when you feel calm, scared, happy, or sad?

Featuring Hello!Lucky’s bright, bold art, these six small, sturdy board books explore six big feelings with gentle, guiding text. Perfect for helping little ones identify, describe, and regulate their emotions—Are you furious when you feel mad? Are you focused when you feel calm?—this is a wonderful teaching tool.

With one main color per book—red for anger, yellow for happiness, etc.—the bright, graphic treatment of this all-important topic will appeal to young children as much as to their caregivers.

My Box of Feelings contains six different board books that cover various feelings. The books each describe various ways that you might feel that are related to each emotion such as happy, sad, love, angry, calm, and scared.

What I Liked: These short board books are a great way to introduce feelings to children. The books provide you with great examples of reactions that may happen with various feelings along with what various feelings might look like. The colorful illustrations along with the short phrases do a great job of holding the younger reader’s attention.

Final Verdict: My Box of Feelings is a great gift for new parents as this is the perfect start for a child’s library. Children ages 1 and up will enjoy exploring these board books and this is a fantastic way to provide children the language for how they are feeling. These books are great as children transition into toddlerhood and have trouble expressing their feelings through words.
