Once again the writers of Magic Tree House have come up with a fun nonfiction companion book. This time the theme is Irish folklore. I used this book when I was teaching a unit on Ireland. This small paperback book was packed with facts and info. My son loved reading about the different types of Irish fairies. He was also fascinated with some of the ways to stop a fairy from tricking you. Did you know fairies hate messes?
Fun fast facts, definition of terms, illustrations, and photos are a great supplement to Leprechaun in Late Winter. Readers will have fun learning more about Ireland.
This is a great book to supplement a teacher's unit on Ireland. Also it's a great source to find out more info on leprechauns and other folklore. At the back of the book is additional sources to find out more.
I loved this nonfiction book so much I went and purchased SPACE, another Magic Tree House research guide to help when I teach my solar system unit.
