Hi, YABCers!
Today we’re super excited to celebrate the cover reveal for FLASHFALL by Jenny Moyer, releasing November 15, 2016 from Henry Holt. Before we get to the cover, here’s a note from Jenny:
Hi YABC! Welcome to the exclusive cover reveal for FLASHFALL!
I’m so excited to give everyone a peek into the strange, exciting world of FLASHFALL. Be sure to check out the giveaway, and the first teaser trailer which we are also revealing for the first time today!
I was breathless the first time I saw the cover! I’m thankful for everyone at Henry Holt who worked hard to make it feel epic, and dark and beautiful at the same time. I love the hint of cave entrances in the rock, the flashfall clouds that are a bit foreboding; the sense that the setting is another central character of the story. I’m so glad they decided to put Dram on the cover, too—and not just Orion. They’re about to embark on a non-stop-action journey, and I hope readers feel that way about the book, too!

FLASHFALL
Orion is a Subpar, expected to mine the tunnels of Outpost Five, near the deadly flash curtain. For generations, her people have chased cirium—the only element that can shield humanity from the curtain’s radioactive particles. She and her caving partner, Dram work the most treacherous tunnel, fighting past flash bats and tunnel gulls, in hopes of mining enough cirium to earn their way into the protected city.
But when newcomers arrive at Outpost Five, Orion uncovers disturbing revelations that make her question everything she thought she knew about life on both sides of the cirium shield. As conditions at the outpost grow increasingly dangerous, it’s up to Orion to forge a way past the flashfall, beyond all boundaries, beyond the world as she knows it.
