cute board book of sounds and everyday events for babies

NOISY BABIES is a cute touch-and-feel, sound book. The book takes readers through key moments in a baby’s day, such as waking up, eating, playing, and going to bed. Each page includes a basic question, as well as a sound button with some texture and photographs of key objects related to the topic.

What I loved: This was a simple concept but helps to introduce babies and young toddlers to different words and sounds related to everyday objects and events. The photographs along with labels aid in word recognition with plenty for babies to learn. Young toddlers can interact with the questions, such as to what foods they like to eat. The textured buttons to press add to the fun as they can hear sounds other babies make, such as giggling and playing the drum.

The book also has an on and off switch for the sounds, which is a handy feature. The text is large and clear, and the images have colored backgrounds that provide good contrast for developing eyes. The book will work best for older infants and young toddlers.

What left me wanting more: As a small thing, some of the buttons are a bit random, such as the drum sounds one that is on the side of the drum rather than on top. The quacking duck for bath time invites children to listen to it quack, but it actually squeaks (like rubber ducks do).

Final verdict: NOISY BABIES is a cute board book that helps the youngest of readers to explore concepts and sounds related to their everyday lives
