Animals of the National Parks: An Alphabet Book is an eye catching and simple read. Readers of any age will appreciate this alphabet book.

This book highlights the beauty and creativity you can see by visiting the national parks. The illustrations are magnificent. They are bright and colorful, not only of the animals spotlighted but their natural habitats in the parks as well. They gain the attention of both children, and adult, readers.

I was impressed with the animals used for each letter. From the American Bison to the ZigZag Salamander, there were several animals mentions I had never heard of that spurned more research with my children.
The parks where each animal can be found is listed under each brief description, as well as a full spread US map in the backmatter.

Also found in the backmatter, is a cute single page spread for the readers National Park Memories. A special place to record parks visited, who you visited with, and more.

This alphabet book would make a wonderful baby shower gift for couples who love hiking, camping or visiting the National Parks. Perfect for elementary or home school libraries.
