fun, interactive board book
LET’S GO HOME, BABY PUPPY is a cute, interactive board book. The book features a track with a cardboard circle of a baby animal that children can move to bring the animal home to its waiting parent and siblings. The facing page of the book includes some items to search for amidst the illustrations. This book features pets – puppy, kitten, fish, and guinea pig.
What I loved: These are great board books for toddlers who can work on their dexterity and hand-eye coordination with moving the animal through the tracks. This is a really fun concept that is also very sturdy and self-contained, making this one that children can continue to move around on the page without losing the baby animals.
The search-and-find adds to the fun for more advanced toddlers, allowing them to use their skills to find the items mentioned on the facing page in the illustration. The images themselves are fantastic with lots of detail and making for plenty of delight as young readers explore the book with their fingers.
The tracks are pretty sturdy, and I appreciate how the animals stay trapped within them, so the book can continue to be used and enjoyed for a long time.
Final verdict: LET’S GO HOME, BABY PUPPY is a cute, interactive board book that works well for young toddlers as they develop their hand-eye coordination.
