YOU'RE EGGSTRAORDINARY is an adorable board book with a message of love and a spring theme. The book features a chick hatching from an egg and then on each page with a tuft of hair above the book and on their head on each image. The text speaks to the listener about how wonderful they are with a message of love from reader to listener.

What I loved: This is a simple but cute board book that will delight young readers. The text features a message of love and adoration from caregiver to listener that works well. The egg puns continue throughout the book for a cute touch of the theme. The hair tuft is perfectly placed with the images on each page, so it is clear that they are on top of the chick's head. The illustrations themselves are colorful, bright, and sweet, suiting the theme well.

The font is oversized and easy to read throughout. The pages turn quickly and the book is brief, which will work well for the littlest readers. The ending is great with a clear statement of love from reader to listener.

What left me wanting more: The little hair tuft on the book sheds a lot all over the place. This is tough for little readers who will find it on their hands. It will need to be removed quickly for little ones so that it isn't consumed. While the text and format work well for infants and young toddlers, this might be better for older children for that reason.

Final verdict: YOU'RE EGGSTRAORDINARY is a sweet and cute board book with a soft poof that young readers will enjoy.

You’re Eggstraordinary is an adorable and heartwarming board book that delivers a message of love and celebration for little ones. The story follows a fluffy, squishy chick with soft, tactile feathers that children can touch, as each page shares a sweet rhyme about how “eggstraordinary” the reader is. The text is playful and full of egg puns, making it a fun, interactive read-aloud for caregivers and young children. I especially loved how the rhymes reinforce affection and positivity, helping children feel loved and appreciated with every page turn. The font is large and easy to read, and the colorful illustrations perfectly complement the cheerful, springtime theme.

One of my favorite aspects of this book is the little tuft of hair on top of the chick’s head; it’s cute, well-placed, and adds a fun tactile element that kids love. My little readers were immediately drawn to it, even though the tuft can shed a bit, so a quick check after reading is needed. The story is short and engaging, which is ideal for toddlers and preschoolers who have shorter attention spans. The ending is particularly sweet, with a clear, loving message from the reader to the listener, leaving a warm and uplifting impression. I strongly recommend You’re Eggstraordinary as a perfect upcoming Easter read or for any celebration where you want to show a child just how special they are. Its combination of playful rhymes, interactive elements, and bright, joyful illustrations makes it a standout for young children.

My favorite part of the book is the final page where the chick delivers the message of love. It’s simple, heartwarming, and leaves both the reader and the child with a smile.
