A Bird Day shows a quirky tale of bird siblings who behave a lot like human children. These birds do not have an idealized day like in some books that only show the perfect aspects of family life. This book shows a day of the children getting bored and making up games that their parents fuss at them for being dangerous. The parents quarrel with each other but share the chores. The birds dream and imagine and get along and quarrel but at the end of the day, they are together as a family. Overall, this book will appeal to children who have sibling relationships that are a bit messy and fun like this one.
