I didn't really like the ending kind of somewhat incomplete and confusing.
While it's great that Count Olaf died (yippee for that!) they still haven't discovered if one of their parents is alive or not.
But the book still has Lemony Snicket's wit despite some loose ends.
You will find some answers, but not all the answers.

What a wonderful way to end the series. Besides all the people wearing white robes and being completly electronic free, the book was amazing. Full of detail and irony right down to the very end. The End is surely the way to end this series. Upset and dejected are the things i feel since the series is over but i can't agree more with anyone who did not enjoy the series. It was an action packed adventure with the orphans facing hardship after hardship. Although it was sad that the orphans did not find their parents the fact that they stayed in under the tree where their parents stayed was a wonderful suprise. Thankx for the great ride, Mr. Snicket!!

I have read all of the Series of Unfortunate Events and they have all been...unfortunate. I thought that by this book they would finally have a happy ending but I guess the book lives up to its name. The End is pretty good in the sense that you finally found out about their parents and everything clicked in place. The bad part about it was that the ending didn't leave me feeling like any real closure happened. I guess I was just expecting more than what I got.
