A World of Kisses gives a vibrant look into the culture of kisses. The funny words and sound effects highlight all the ways kisses are used in our world. We use them in greetings, goodbyes, goodnights, after a tumble, just to name a few that are mentioned in the book. It depicts friends and family giving these big smackaroos while also saying you have the right to say no if you don’t feel like permitting a kiss. The bright illustrations with exaggerated people help this book feel like a children’s book when discussing the topic of kisses.
Overall, this is a great book to discuss the topic of kisses with young readers, and I appreciate the mention that you may not want a kiss and can say no.
