“Actual Factual Files: Ancient Egypt” by Ali Adams starts off with a contents page detailing at least twenty different topics to be covered throughout the pages. From knowledge of ancient Egypt to information about religion, priests, and temples, pharaohs (including female ones), pyramid building, and King Tut, there is something to draw in all interested readers.

Many of the pages also contain “fact files,” some including definitions of important words that may also be found in the glossary, as well as interesting facts that extend beyond the words contained within the main wording of each chapter. It is also a fun addition to have the hieroglyphic alphabet included on a few pages. Additionally, there are lots of facts about mummies that are not only weird, but true,

The back matter of the book contains a glossary, a list of museums with Egyptian artifacts for anyone who may be interested in checking one of them out, and a thorough index to find information more quickly and efficiently. By the time one has gotten through even just a chapter, there will be a desire to read more, as the details are clearly stated and quite fascinating.
