ANIMALS EVERYWHERE is an engaging book that shows animals in habitats with a fun search-and-find. The book is set up to display different habitats with flaps to lift and things to find within each scene.
What I loved: The book contains very detailed and colorful scenes on each page, which is very fun visually. Children can enjoy searching the pages for the animals and things intended for the search-and-find, but also to find all the fun little details tucked into each illustration. The book focuses on the images with limited text, and with flaps to lift and pages to fold out, this can be enjoyable for little ones to look at independently.
While some of the animals are easy to find, some are a little tougher, but this works great for preschoolers who will enjoy the quick wins and more challenging searches. As it is easy to explore visually, this is one that they can really get into on their own, which is always a plus. Lots of details on each page will help to keep them busy for a while.
What left me wanting more: As a small thing, the flaps are somewhat easy to rip and will be removed by rougher readers. That being said, they have images underneath and are not integral to understanding the scene, so the book can still be used when some of them have been taken.
Final verdict: ANIMALS EVERYWHERE is an enjoyable board book that is sure to engage preschoolers with detailed images, flaps to lift, and lots of animals to find.
