Battle of Lion Rock is the conclusive third book in the Beacon Hill Trilogy. Our cast of characters comes into their faith and full power ready to take on the PRC and the Merikh to protect the Cherub throughout Hong Kong.
The book has constant action and many resolutions to the established problems set up in the previous books. The ending is a bit of a surprise, but the theme of the afterlife with Elyon has been established, so it does make sense that the author incorporated that theme with some of the characters.
The story arc has a few elements that could have been better. The conversations are a bit stilted between the characters. The action and resolutions are a bit instant without showing us how the characters came to their knowledge or why that is the order of things.
The author has allowed themselves room for companion books if a redemption arc with Will is considered. Overall, if you enjoy Christian themes, supernatural battles between good and evil, and action against a multinational backdrop, then this book is a good choice.
