Beaver’s Lodge by Ruth Owen is a nonfiction book that is part of the Home Sweet Home series. It introduces young readers to beavers, how they build their habitats, and the incredible impact that construction has on nature.

What I liked: It’s 24 pages that are jam-packed with information. Owen uses clear captions to highlight important details and includes a helpful glossary to support young readers. For me, the vibrant photography is what really makes the information in this book come alive. I also love how readers feel like they are getting a personal tour of the beaver’s lodge, helping them understand every step that goes into building these amazing structures.

Beaver’s Lodge is a fantastic nonfiction book that elementary school-aged students will absolutely want to dive into!
