Cassini's Mission personalizes a spacecraft’s journey to the moons of Saturn. Referred to as “she” it is easy to feel the human connection to this spacecraft’s search for life in the far reaches of our solar system. This story does a lovely job of highlighting the excitement of what Cassini found on the moon, Enceladus, and explaining why we should care. I also appreciated the explanation on why Cassini didn’t just land on Enceladus when it was low on fuel. This book does an excellent job of making Enceladus feel like a special treasure waiting for future generations to go back and explore. Overall, this book does a nice job of creating excitement and wonder about space and the impact on our understanding of everything. It is approachable to young readers with clear language and gentle explanations.
