I spy with my little eye has always been a fun game growing up and it makes road trips a lot less boring. In this book, the author takes this classic game and incorporates it into illustrations. The reader has to find an animal within a picture. The lyrical writing gives us hints to help figure out what animal we're looking for. Some of them are hidden very well and the answer to the location can be found on the next page. I love how it starts with the sun and ends with the moon which can make it an engaging bedtime story. The illustrations are stunning with the line-work and details. I love how the animals blend into the picture so naturally which makes some more difficult to find. It's almost like the animals are using camouflage to hide. I also like that the reader has to figure out what they're looking for instead of just giving us the answer.
Final Verdict: I would recommend this to children aged four and up who enjoy animals and activity books. The artwork may even inspires young artists.
