Amazing Stories of Survival
When I was younger I was amazed with Anne Frank’s Diary. I couldn’t help but wonder how a girl my age could go through so much while in hiding. Hidden Like Anne Frank includes 14 stories of children surviving the most horrific events of history.
Hidden Like Anne Frank includes amazing stories of survival. The book is emotional, well written, and includes incredible and powerful images. It is an easy to read with grade-level appropriate vocabulary that allows it to be accessible to a variety of ages. The book was well researched and weaves in important personal details. The addition of photos at the end of the book showing what each survivor looks like in present day also strengthened the impact of their stories.
This book will make a valuable addition to any middle school classroom library. Anyone interested in WWII history and the Holocaust should read Hidden Like Anne Frank.
