I Love Salmon and Lampreys is a lovely & thoughtfully written autobiographical story that gives a brief introduction to the cultural and environmental impact of lamprey and salmon, specifically in the Klamath river.

The narrative is both touching and informative, offering readers a meaningful introduction to the profound connection we share with the environment, through the eyes of the author and her family's story of conservation. Readers get to experience a blend of history, culture and environmental science.

I Love Salmon and Lampreys is written in a special font that looks perfectly normal, but it has a slight variation that allows the eye to read the words more easily, making this book easier to read for those that may have dyslexia.

The illustrations are inclusive, featuring a variety of different characters. The artist does a fantastic job creating imagery that fits the narrative without being to dark.

The book concludes with some engaging fun facts and a map of the Klamath River, where the story unfolds, making it both educational and visually appealing.
