IMAGINE (ME TIME) is an engaging board book, perfect for infants and young toddlers. The book shows different scenes of diverse children using their imaginations during play. Accompanying text adds to the scene with what the children are saying during play, including sound words.

What I loved: This is an interesting concept with many ideas for imaginative play in the book. The diversity of children shown is fantastic with each page being a different child of different skin colors, genders, and abilities. The types of play are varied as well with one child playing with a doll, another playing firefighter, and many more. The scenes are simple on a white background that allows young readers to understand and process the scene well. Text is large and easy to read aloud, and the sound words are particularly fun for infants and toddlers.

What left me wanting more: As a small thing, the text does not have any cohesive storyline or connections between the pages. The ending felt similarly random. Infants and toddlers will likely not mind, however, and can enjoy each scene on its own.

Final verdict: IMAGINE (ME TIME) is an intriguing board book all about imagination and play that will work well for infants and toddlers.
