Good book for emerging readers
What Worked: This is a Pre-Level one book designed to allow early readers to read this independently. I liked that the text was large with only a few words per page and they rhymed or repeated. The illustrations were fun and expressive to help a reader figure out the words that may be less familiar. The word count was controlled to see the same words over and over again and easy to sound out. The story was engaging as the shark wanted his clam buddy to join him in swimming fun. Overall, this book was perfect for emerging readers to have a fun story that they are capable of decoding with minimal help. I highly recommend it for home or school!
